Open Therm

When WundaSmart is connected to your boiler via Opentherm, you gain the capability to adjust the temperature of the water used for both your Hot Water and Heating, in addition to monitoring the current operating temperature. Connecting via Opentherm not only provides enhanced control over your boiler but also enables the WundaSmart app to promptly alert you to any errors or issues that may arise with your boiler.

Boiler Setpoint modulation. (A)

Inactive Boiler Setpoint Modulation

When the Boiler Setpoint Modulation is inactive, the temperature within the heating circuit remains constant. You have the ability to establish a specific value, such as 65°C, and the boiler will work to maintain this temperature across the heating circuits, including radiators or UFH feed. Furthermore, you can manually adjust the value for the boiler setpoint temperature (B)

Active Boiler Setpoint Modulation

This option allows the boiler to modulate the set temperature for further efficiency. This option also gives the user three settings for fine tuning.

  1. The Boiler Set Temperature (B)
  • The user can designate the ideal upper value for the ‘Boiler Setpoint Temperature’ (B)
  • This temperature is the settled temperature that the boiler works at. Initially, the Boiler temperature could overshoot this before settling to the desired Setpoint Temperature.
  • For a condensing boiler, we advise that you initially set this to between 50-60℃. before fine tuning and raising if necessary.
  1. The ‘Setpoint Temperature Delta’ (C)
  • Indicating the ideal lower value for the ‘Boiler Setpoint Temperature’, the boiler will work at and how many degrees the temperature in circuits can decrease before the boiler engages. ie, a Boiler Setpoint Temperature of 65℃ and the Setpoint Temperature Delta of 5℃ will result in an ideal operating Setpoint of 60 - 65℃.
  • This is set to 5℃ as the default.
  1. The Room Temperature Delta (D)
  • This value determines how many degrees the room temperature can drop before the boiler starts operating.
  • This is set to 1℃ as the default.

Hot Water and Opentherm

This option only works when connected to a combi boiler.

When you have connected your WundaSmart system via Opentherm, you can choose the Set Temperature for your hot water.

(A)The Set Temperature for your hot water value

(B) Hot Water working mode

(C) The actual temperature of the Hot Water that is being used

(D) The Boost button for Hot Water

(E) Settings for the Hot Water Temperature

(F) Settings for the Hot Water Scheduling

You can see the Set Temperature for your hot water (A) (top left). You can also see the actual current temperature that is being used (C) (top right). In this screen you may notice that the current temperature is higher than the setpoint. The Set Temperature is the desired settled temperature for your hot water. Initially, the Boiler temperature will probably overshoot this, then under and then settle to the desired Set Temperature (E).
